Week Nine Last Regular Season Games

The 2008 season has ended so I will come back to update schedules next spring or summer. 2008 will move to the history section of the site. A good year with two teams in the state finals one winning. Thank you for all the kind emails. (Dec. 2008)

The conference has realigned to four divisions of seven teams. As school districts remain in flux the divisions readjust to reflect these changes. Fourteen games a week just like the NFL was before the last expansion. Knoxville is joining the WPT next fall. The Blue Bullets would add a good team to an already competitive Northwest division, also very geographically centered.

Annawan coops with Wethersfield; they will play in the Northeast. Annawan gives up it's claim as the smallest Illinois school to have a football program. It is too bad we lose the Flying Geese but the Titans may emerge into a great team in their first season. Here's a nice article in the Star Courier about the Coop. Greenview adds its forces to Athens leaving the coop with Porta. Williamsfield coops with Galva; Williamsfield students have not been apart of a football program before.

Elmnet makes westprairietrail.org possible.

Here are two links to web sites where fans are likely to find WPT discussions in progress.

South West Division

I have posted the 2008 schedules for each football team. I have the opponents and whether the game is home or away. Changes can occur mistakes may get posted. Teams that play at more than one field may not be accurately listed. I will update the schedule as I am aware of the actual location. As I am made aware of the times I will update them, as well.

Practice week is over; the Freshman who have survived the first week are now able to look forward to the best part of the football season. Varsity players hope to come together into that well oiled machine that will carry them through a season of great games. I hope all the programs find 2008 a great year.

I would like to find a student from each program to update more complete information. I'll be contacting the computer instructors of the schools. If you would like to help forward me the appropriate email address. We could all make communication and news so much more available.
