Only One WPT team is playing in the Semifinals. So everyone can wish Illini West a good game against another tough opponent.
The conference has realigned the four divisions two of seven teams and two of six teams. As school districts remain in flux the divisions readjust to reflect these changes. Knoxville is joining the WPT this fall. The Blue Bullets will add a good team to the Southeast division. Northwest and Northeast divisions are little changed. Mercer County Golden Eagles instead of the Aledo Green Dragons, but I would guess the wide open offense of the Dragons will still fly with the Eagles. The Southeast losses the Sangamo teams of Pleasant Plains and Athens, both who had their most successful years last year. Porta leaves the Southwest for the Sangamo other teams remain the same.

I have posted the 2009 schedules for each football team. I have the opponents and whether the game is home or away. Changes can occur mistakes may get posted. Teams that play at more than one field may not be accurately listed. I will update the schedule as I am aware of the actual location. As I am made aware of the times I will update them, as well.
Soon, we will find that practice week is over; the Freshman who have survived the first week are now able to look forward to the best part of the football season. Varsity players hope to come together into that well oiled machine that will carry them through a season of great games. I hope all the programs find 2009 a great year. The first Friday night is coming right up.
