Week One already, a time to surprise a few people, if your team is ready. History, polls, and predictions don't matter; polls and predictions are notoriously wrong. Who would have thought North Fulton would carry the WPT flag to the semi-finals after a multi-year losing streak. A quick look at the schedule reveals many rivalry games in week one. Illini West - West Prairie, West Central - United, Elmwood/Brimfield - Princeville, etc. all fourteen games should arouse passions between the fans.

It looks like the divisions will be very competitve. Last years undefeated Southeast champion Lewistown will take their war path north into the Northeast. The Northwest looks very competitive even West Central with only one win last year played close with most every opponent. Pleasant Plains and Unity join the Southeast several teams may be ready to compete for this division title. Porta undefeated last year will find many others in the Southwest ready to test their division title in 2008.
